Does Chase do a credit check on free checking? ?

I’ve heard that some banks don’t do a credit check for free checking… anyone know if Chase is one of those?

I am pretty sure that Chase will do a credit check as will most of the larger banking institutions.

Most banks don’t do credit checks. Most will do a check on chexsystems (not sure if that’s the right name) to see if you have ever had problems with checking with other banks. I opened 1 up a week ago and they did neither. So, don’t know until u try. U might try a smaller, local bank.
